The count down for Endhiran’s release has begun and with only five days left, the news is doing the rounds that its rights has been sold for a whopping 200 crores.
Endhiran is a sci-fi flick, which has been made with the mammoth budget of 140 crores. It will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on October 1 in over 3000 screens (2250 prints) worldwide.
Recently, the US rights was acquired by FICUS Movies, a U.S. based production house. It has bagged the rights of both Tamil and Telugu version for a whooping amount of Rs.35 crores. However, Venus has acquired the Hindi rights and it will release the Hindi version of the film in US. Sources also say that Telugu rights has been sold for Rs.33 crores.
Shankar’s Endhiran stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Bachchan in the leads. AR Rahman has scored the music, R.Rathnavelu has handled the cinematography, Yuen Woo Ping has choreographed the stunts.

Bubbly girl Genelia D’Souza is heading for an image transformation. The actress, who is known charming looks, is ready to display the other side of her talent by turning action queen.
Genelia will be seen as a warrior princess in upcoming multilingual film Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal, a dubbed version of Malayalam movie Urumi. The actress is playing the role of a Portuguese queen in Santosh Sivan directorial film. She will be doing some action sequences in the film. Reports say that the actress has undergone a special training of martial arts to perform the role better.
Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal is based on the attempted assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama, who arrived in Kappad near Calicut in 1498. the movie stars Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Aarya, Vidya Balan and Tabu in the key roles. The movie is expected to hit the screens worldwide on 31st March.

The news may come as a surprise to may or difficult to believe but the fact is that Sneha Ullal is dropped from Vaanam. She is replaced with a Delhi based model named Jasmine.
The speculations started doing rounds after Sneha Ullal was kept out of the movie promotions. Adding to that the actress, who regularly tweets about her upcoming movies on Twitter, is not answering any of the questions related to Vaanam asked by her fans. Now, sources have confirmed that she is out of the film.
Sneha Ullal was part of the film and she even took part in initial shoots but she was shockingly out of second schedule, says report. The reason for her exit from Vaanam is not revealed yet. The movie bosses and Sneha Ullal are mum on the issue.
Vaanam is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Vedam. The movie features Silambarasan, Anushka Shetty, Bharath, Prakash Raj, Sonia Agarwal in the key roles. Krish is directing the movie, which is being produced by R.B. Chowdary of Supergood Movies. Meanwhile, the movie bosses are planning to release the movie on April 8.

                            Vaanam: Almost complete


Promising director Krish’s Allu Arjun-Manoj-Anushka starrer Vedam is being remade in Tamil as Vaanam. R.B. Chowdary of Super Good Movies bought the Tamil remake rights. Simbu will don the role of Cable Raju (originally played by Allu Arjun) in the Tamil version.
Anushka reprises her role from the original. Now the latest buzz is that the film will grace theatres in April (for Tamil New Year). There are reports that a mass kuthu song picturised on Simbu and Anushka will be added to the movie and the script has been changed to suit the taste of Tamil audiences.
Vaanam’s music launch is scheduled to take place on March 6, 2011.
